The kaftan has a long history with its origins in the Middle East and Central Asia, where it served as a traditional and versatile garment for both men and women. It has been worn for centuries in countries such as Turkey, Persia (modern-day Iran), and various parts of North Africa.

We interpret it as a shirt dress that spotlights forgotten saree pallus we collected.
