Capes, dating back to ancient civilizations were initially simple pieces of fabric draped over the shoulders for protection against the elements and later evolved into a diverse and often decorative accessory worn for both practical and ceremonial purposes.
 
We imagined the cape to be a perfect canvas to give a new life to the forgotten Kalamkari saree pallus we collected.
