The corset originated in the Renaissance era and evolved from stiffened bodices into a tightly laced undergarments designed to shape and support the female torso. 
 
The corset uses the smaller knickknack textiles in its bustier and reverses to a solid black. It is meticulously boned in organza as a form of showing the torso, no matter what body.
